-About the Band-
DAN ELLIS - Dan is the pianist and musical director of The Las Vegas Jazz Trio. Upon moving to Las Vegas from Michigan in the 90s, he became the leader of one of the longest-running lounge bands in the history of Las Vegas, The Las Vegas Classic Jazz Band. He has since performed at numerous jazz festivals and has toured with grammy award-winning artist Sheena Easton. In addition to performing with the Las Vegas Jazz Trio, he is the current musical director of The Scintas, new musical director of Rich Little, and assistant musical director/pianist/organist at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
JUSTIN VOGEL - Justin plays that beautiful instrument known as the double bass. Upon relocating to Las Vegas from Denver, Colorado, he put his years of jazz and classical bass guitar studies to work by becoming the Music Education Director at Family Music Centers of Las Vegas. He eventually branched off with his own private practice, and currently teaches bass and guitar to students of all ages within the Las Vegas valley. In addition to performing with The Las Vegas Jazz Trio, Justin is the Music Ministry Director at the Center for Spiritual Living and founding member of the original progressive jazz quartet Extreme Measures
ANDREA D'ANGELO - Andrea is the beat of the band. Originally from Rome, Italy, his drumming skills and positive vibrations landed him a gig with the Las Vegas Rat Pack, and later, with The Las Vegas Jazz Trio. Andrea has toured worldwide with Mary Wilson, founding member of the Supremes, and has been a guest drummer of many top Las Vegas shows, including Wynn's iconic Showstoppers.
-About the Singer-
KAI BRANT - Kai is a founding member of The Las Vegas Jazz Trio. The band was created out of her love of jazz and her desire to work with exceptional musicians who know how to get along with everyone in the group and everyone at the party. While influenced by American jazz and blues greats such as Billie, Etta, and Ella, she also pulls from British trip-hop bands such as Morcheeba and Portishead. In addition to producing and singing, Kai is an advocate for youth art programs.
